WHAT IS ISO 9000?
ISO 9000 is a set of standards dealing with quality management systems.  The standards were originally published by the International Organization for Standardization in 1987 and were last revised in December 2000.  Since 1987 ISO 9001 has been adopted as the national standard by most industrialized countries.  ISO 9001 applies to companies such as ours that design and manufacture products or develop and provide services.  They are followed in countries around the world.  It is the universality and international recognition that makes them so popular.
  WHAT IS ISO CERTIFICATION?
ISO 9001 certified companies are certified by an official third-party called a registrar.  Registrars are officially authorized to assess (audit) and certify a quality management system by an accreditation body.   As an ISO 9001 certified company we may use the logo on stationary, promotional literature, and advertising.
  MANAGEMENT COMMITMENT
NewTec management is committed to the quality objectives required to achieve certification.   As we get further along there will be an operating policy published and all employees will be responsible to know this policy and be able to explain how it applies to their jobs.
BENEFITS AND ADVANTAGES TO ISO CERTIFICATION

  • Competitive advantage

  • Introduction of a quality management system that will, over time, reduce variation and improve quality

  • A system designed to encompass quality requirements associated with both products and services will simplify our business from the standpoint of customers and employees alike.

  • Systems that meet ISO requirements tend to be straightforward and easy to understand, reducing confusion and cost.

  • Opportunity to conduct business with companies who only work with ISO certified companies.

  THE START
We anticipate this effort taking just over a year.  It will require some effort, but the outcome is worth the effort.
